Alessandra Badia

M.Ed.

Alessandra completed her studies at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, obtaining a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology and Education. She is presently working as a Special Needs Educator at the TCDSB teaching students with exceptionalities including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome and is passionate about helping students reach their full potential. Moreover, Alessandra is also a certified member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario having completed her B.A. in Child Studies focusing on special education and inclusive practices in early childhood settings. She has four years of experience teaching young learners and adolescents with a variety of learning needs in small group settings. She is also bilingual and speaks French fluently, having completed most of her studies in Montreal, Quebec. Overall, as an Academic Interventionist she is highly passionate about making a difference in students’ academic success by being a positive support system that enables clients to feel confident all while ensuring they are provided with high quality teaching in an organized and goal-oriented manner.
