Emily Staffiere

M.A., Ph.D Candidate

Emily is currently in the second year of her PhD in School and Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Toronto. Emily has received clinical training and experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments with children and youth, in addition to diagnostic, gifted, and psychoeducational assessments. Her training experiences have included clinical student and practicum positions at OISE Psychology Clinic, Toronto Catholic District School Board, and Bright Lights Psychology Clinic. She is currently at Hamilton Health Sciences learning more about Cognitive Behaviour Therapy approaches to treating mental health challenges, particularly with anxious youth and those with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Emily adopts a gender-affirming model of care in all psychological services she provides.

At Bright Lights, Emily conducts comprehensive psychological assessments under the direct supervision of Dr. Todd Cunningham. She enjoys working with children and youth of all ages, with particular research and clinical interests in identifying appropriate supports for writing difficulties for students.
